Pre MOT Assessment

Book your Pre MOT Assessment and Award in MOT Testing (Classes 4 & 7) together and save over £300

To qualify as an MOT Tester, technicians must have at least four years of practical experience and hold a Level 3 qualification. The Pre-MOT Testing Assessment is specifically designed for individuals who possess the necessary hands-on experience but lack formal qualifications or accreditation to demonstrate their competence.

This course aims to bridge that gap by recognising and validating existing skills and knowledge. It offers experienced technicians an opportunity to prove their capabilities and take the next step in their career toward becoming an MOT Tester, despite not holding a formal qualification.

Throughout the programme, candidates will be required to demonstrate both theoretical understanding and practical skills relevant to pre-vehicle testing. The assessment concludes with a 25-question exam, and a minimum score of 60% is needed to pass.
